Magnus is an Associate Professor at Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he leads the Theoretical and Computational Biophysical Chemistry (TCBC) research group at DTU Chemistry. He has over ten years of experience in the field, and is the recipient of the prestigious Villum Young Investigator grant, which supports highly talented researchers with original and ambitious ideas.

His research focuses on the development and application of multiscale modeling and fragmentation methods to study linear and non-linear optical processes in large and complex biomolecular systems. His research mission is to unravel the fundamental mechanisms and interactions that govern the function and dynamics of photoactive proteins and to explore their potential for novel biomaterial design.
